I’ve been thinking that I’d like to end up living in New Zealand somehow when I’m old/er.
I know that the whole landmass was formed by volcanic action, and that the volcanoes are now considered extinct, but is NZ still affected by earthquakes along the fault?

The link below has a map of recent earthquakes in NZ. There was a 7.8 in July of this year! (But that is the biggest for a long time.)
